Accessibility statement
Last updated: 15 September 2026
This website belongs to the Government of Manipur and is built to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as a screen reader, screen magnifier, or keyboard-only navigation. It follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, and the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW).
What this site does
- A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page for keyboard users.
- An accessibility toolbar (top of every page) with text-size controls (A- / A / A+), a high-contrast mode, an option to underline every link, a dyslexia-friendly font, and a "reduce motion" toggle that stops the homepage carousel from auto-advancing. These preferences are remembered in your browser for later visits.
- Semantic HTML headings, labelled form fields, and visible focus outlines throughout.
- Colour is never the only way information is conveyed — status badges, for example, carry text as well as colour.
